But where also it gets tricky for me to catalogue is all the other glitches all very temperamental now, I have tried many time to write this process down and its two complex for me with all these variations and irregularity, I have also tried photos but still complex, video is tricky at moments need to wait until this eve need a second pair of hands, but even with this it will look confused on times, but guess you will see thru all my button pressing panic lol so video I will try and sort this eve.
This is where if possible we could do with a few more tester to speed things up and to get a general consensus of the issues.
Did you tested the last file? Basically I am looking to go from cue mode to roll mode and the mode button to light up correctly.
They are dependencies of how the lights behave from one mode to the other. Those dependencies won't be resolved until the final map is done. For now the limited test results is the only thing that allows me to move forward as the documentation that is currently available is deficient.
So the last test in a nutshell
Deck I loaded with a track that has cue points so some pads are lit.
Press ROLL mode.= ROLL mode button should come on and all the CUE lights should all go off because you are no longer in CUE mod you are now in ROLL mode.
While in ROLL mode
Press and hold a pad = A loop should start and the corresponding pad should light up as long as it is being pressed.
PRESS the ROLL mode button to turn off ROLL mode
The ROLL mode button should turn off, the CUE button should be on and the PADs should light up according to what cue point were already set in the track.
That is the limited test and the expected response. Once that is confirmed to be working correctly, (we both would have learned what to expect) we can move on to SLICER and SAMPLER modes.
The following is the progression for this to be complete.
Map SLICER mode
Map SAMPLER mode
Resolve LED inter-dependencies for non-pad LEDs within Deck 1.
MAP deck 2 pads
Resolve LED inter-dependencies for non-pad LEDs within Deck 2.
Resolve LED inter-dependencies across deck 1 and 2.
MAP deck 3 pads
Resolve LED inter-dependencies across deck 1,2 and 3.
MAP deck 4 pads
Resolve LED inter-dependencies across all decks.
This a long and tedious process when it is done remotely like we are doing. However, I have some experience doing this with remote testers as I had map 14 + other controllers to Cross.
If I had the controller in hand this could all be completely mapped and tested in 5 days at the most.
