I understand what you're saying RoJeC, but I just dont think its necessary. You don't have limiters on CDJ output, they just play the track at its recorded volume and output it to the mixer. Which is essentially what I'm doing.
It IS necessary if you turn on auto gain, as then you're potentially amplifying the track past 0db, which would clip the peaks in the track unless you used a limiter. I'm not adding any gain, so the track itself is just output as is. Like I said, its definitely not distorting.
I equalise track volumes in the external mixer, outside of Cross, like you would normally do in a 2xcdj/turntable + mixer setup.
