I understand what you are saying. The fact is that in that situation the same video loop would be reacting to effects according to the FX setting. That is not what I am talking about. I am talking about a visualizer in which you can control sensitivity and the set of or amount of graphics being displayed.
You can't do that with iTunes but the effect is pretty good. Now using a visualizer as a plug in like G-Force plugs in iTunes.
In Cross a visualizer would be a plug in or if Cross added a video source that can be taken from any window then a visualizer could run standalone and Cross would take the video from that window as a source.
It is a lot more interactive and random that what you explained.
