As easy as THIS ;) For DA FRESH "Fuckin Track" lovers

Postby King_Pong on 16 Jul 2009, 17:21

Hi Peep's,

Since I'm in love with the track, I wanted to share this with you

Everytime I see something like that, two things come to my mind : "Geez, why didn't I think about this earlier  " and "Okay, I need to start making music TODAY ! :D "

Yo Messie,

Isn't Ableton meant to play live ? Or you can do both ?
All my mates are on Logic but I want to mess around on PC...

What's the crack for you ? Reason ? Fruity Loops ? Cubase ?

I'm hanging

you can do both in ableton dude, use it for live purposes
you can also use it for production, and relitivly easy to use
you can record samples from records loop it, warp (time strech) to your tempo

Personally i use Ableton as the host with a bunch of plugins such as Native Instruments Massive also use reason 4.0 also as it slaves to ableton using rewire. Reasons a little more difficult to get your head around but stick with it!

Grab the demos of both
http://www.ableton.com

give em a go everyone's a little diffrent, few mates use cubase and reason
another mate is messing around with Reason Record
Once your happy get down the store and buy the best apps that suit your needs

Reason doesnt really have the ability to chop up samples as such
it can play samples think of reason as a software version of hardware synths

Ableton you can do what ever you like to samples chop them up
slice them to the sampler pads (if you had a MPC or USB simular device).
you can warp samples so they play at the tempo you want.

check youtube for some ableton introduction videos
there are also some on the ableton website
