Hi Dan, Tried pretty much everything I can find. It's just the scrolling'ness of the titler. If I can lick that I'm pretty much home free. It only seems to occur when scrolling. Stopped is fine. No effect were on. I un-linked the video from the audio effects and even put on just audio effect. Same problem in titler. It looks like the letters are being cut in half and trying to play 'catch-up'...just enough to be very noticeable. I took some screen shots of the 1GB Radeon card in action and the Windows 7-64 bit OS Screen resolutions (Laptop & Samsung 46in LCD)... Hope you see something. Thanks. Screen 1.png Screen 2.png Radeon 1GB Card In Action.png Radeon pic isn't the clearest but it is in the red about 25% when video is playing.

vid Capture.PNG  o kay just curious ,,the hp laptop ,,you are useing the hdmi out put to send the signal to the lcd screen does it have any other vid output connections ,,both of my computers (old vista,,new dell ) had/has vid outputs ,,vga..dvi,,hdmi ,,used the vga on second monitor and dvi on main,, no tearing on titler,, ran version 3.0 and 3.1,, earlier versions of Cross ran main dvi and hdmi on second screen,, even with weak vista system titler didnt tear ,, running at 100% cpu at times when running vids ,,when first set up vids in 3.0 omly had one screen ,,and could get the second output to play on the main by using the toggle display tab in the gui ,,,,couple of options to see where the problem lies with ,, set up the laptop to run only one screen and run software ,,by toggling the display to get the vid output to play on the laptop ,,see if its still tearing ,next option would be to use another monitor to see if the fault lies with the lcd tv not being able to process the signal ,,both my screen are lcd ,,a 24"for main,,and a 19 " for second ,,not seeing this problem on my set up ..trying to help with my limited info/ knowledge /experiences ,,hopefully someone with more of the above can assist you in this plight , on the gui if you expand the vid screens and play vids is the titler tearing up in the center display

see my above posting ,,also try a vga monitor to see if you still get the tearing ,, hate to suggest trying to take your laptop to a computer repair /seller to try it out on(to get access to a vga monitor ,,nowadays the monitors come with all the ports ,,vga ,dvi, hdmi ) ,, ,,also did you check the senerio of just using your laptop screen and see if its still tearing

if you have a hdmi out put from your laptop then dont worry about the vga connection ,, from your screen shots the second display is set to its native resolution ,, the other tv seems to be the same senerio as what you have been trying ,, check the single screen senerio ,,then maybe out of s t and giggles maybe hook it up to the smart tv with the other hdmi cable ,, just too see ,,not shure where else to look ,,
