Help: iDJ3 controller and macbook pro..not working properly

Postby Virtue on 11 Dec 2012, 05:46

I just purchased CrossDJ and am using it on my Macbook pro. all drivers are up to date.

Problem 1: The program will not let my iDJ3 be the output device... huge problem as I play clubs and need to plug into the house mixer. it's making me use my macbook's built in headphone jack...

problem 2: the master volume control knob wont work... doesnt control anything... same with the cue volume knob... I cannot use headphones to listen to deck a or B.. therefore i cannot hear what i am mixing.
EXTREMELY FRUSTURATED, ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZING

Could you please post your audio settings from within Cross DJ?

That's the first step in trying to make this work...

This next part might seem simple but you would be amazed how often it's something simple.

Just to make sure though, at the top of the Audio setting box (see attachment), you should have the ID3 device selected as your output. In the attached screenshot it says, "Built In Output".

And then in the output 1:
It should say: Output 1/Output 2

And in output 2:
It should say: Output 3/Output 4

And the routing mode should be Dual Stereo.

This would have you cueing on 3/4 and your master output on 1/2.

Keep in mind, I'm just hitting the easy stuff as I'm fairly new to Cross myself... :D (But I do have LOTS of time with other DJ software packages... ;) ).

Have you downloaded and Installed the MixVibes Driver for your OS.

If not try here ;)

http://www.Numark.com/product/idj3

Downloads are on the right hand side about half way down the page.

Install the driver and give CrossDJ another go

PS.

Register your serial for the latest version of CrossDJ ;)

You have now an old Cross LE software that you can't update. You should upgrade to CrossDJ were you have all choices of setup unlimited functions and of course updates for the life of the product...
see: http://www.mixvibes.com/content/products/crossdj

upgraded from Cross LE to CrossDJ 2.0 so nope no help on that Reply but I appreciate the feedback. Cross Le gave me no problems which is funny to me that the newer software isn't allowing me any options as Cross le gave me all the options I needed. So anyone have any more advice for me? Again the problem is that I have upgraded to crossDJ 2.0. Running crossDJ on a brand new MacBook Pro with the Numark idj3 driver installed. Everything but master volume, cue volume control and the output from the RCA cables connected to the idj3. Also cannot hear any audio through headphones to mix..

To get a screenshot on the Mac:

Press Command-Shift-4

That turns the icon into a Plus sign. Draw a box around what you want a screen shot of, and it appears on the desktop as a PNG file. :)

Couldn't be simpler. :D
