That is great news, the MODE buttons are a little tricky but we are getting there. The pad functions are working. Using file 14 check this out. When you go into ROLL mode. Instead of pressing a pad press Shift + a PAD and release. This should create a steady loop. Press shift and another pad and the loop length changes while the loop stays on. Press Shift + whichever is the active pad and the loop is off. Load a sample bank on sampler 1. go to SAMPLER mode pad should light up yellow for those that are loaded. if you press a pad that sample will play and the pad turns red while playing. If you press shift +pad you can cycle the pad modes from one-shot, by press or loop sample.
When you go into ROLL mode. Instead of pressing a pad press Shift + a PAD and release. - nothing happens
This should create a steady loop. Press shift and another pad and the loop length changes while the loop stays on. - Deletes locators instead
Press Shift + whichever is the active pad and the loop is off. - Not sure as last action is not working. - sampler deckssamples are triggering okay and stop/start okay, pads colour yellow at first and then I have to stop the slot and only on the second pass/start does the second colour Turquoise indicate that a slot is playing "but not red ! but overall still issues with pad mode buttons switching and not indicating what mode and quite often it reverts back to cue mode and I then end up accidently deleting locators. also after switching to sampler the whole layout gets confused and not making any sense, at first all the sample pad don't light up until pressed a second time - some do some do not light yellow despite I recorded into the slot and it is playing straight away. also on time I press sampler mode button and instead it jumps back to cue mode and I removed some locators by mistake. their after in this case I ended up as listed below: Pad 1 flashes turquoise, pad 5 is empty no colour and pad doing nothing, pads 2,3,4,6,7,8 are controlling locators as cue mode should, but off course I wanted to be in sampler mode. Just a note incase its relivent. I still keep getting some strange results with cue locators vanishing after switching to roll or sampler and back to cue they have gone, or just now they have all also lit up yellow ,so have had to keep pressing deck buttons 1 and 3 and jumping between cue, roll, slicer to get colured pads back for locators, but its temperamental but guess we must ignore this for now.

Good job. Just trying to get a baseline and go from there. I will probably not get back to coding until Monday

what I would recommend to MCX users, plan your xmas set list in Cross as it is much easier with preview player, save list to text then you can just use the Search in serato to compile the list again and your ready to carry on planning your mix or playing it, and best thing is you still have your Cross set lists to come back to once we have completed the mapping.
Okay granted, Cross is much better for many reasons now and into the future, but at least you will make your set list planning much simpler as suppose to struggling in Serato, I have done this and it made things so much more quicker.
But don't despair with Cross and the MCX its going to be awesome based on my experience, and who know we may get this to a working standard etc, but just incase this is my TIP!!! Happy xmas everyone
