Cross.exe issue with Denon X1600 64bit

Postby Vdjmk4 on 21 Nov 2016, 23:57

Hi,

we have an issue by opening or closing Cross 64 bit. It says Cross.exe dont works. It comes only when the mixer Denon X1600 is plugged on. My friend has the same Mixer and the same Problem.
32bit version no problem. But with 32bit we had another problem in the club at the last weekend. No sound for a few seconds, 10 Times. Laptop is a I5 with 8GB ram and SSD.

I think 64bit runs better but this exe. issue scares me.

Anyone have an idea?

Cross 64bit only works when all drivers are full 64bit. Given your description it seems your denon has a driver that causes the issue.

If you're using audio only you best stick with the Cross 32bit. In the 3.3.11 version you'll only have 64bit (some) advantage when using video.

Please confirm you use the 3.3.11 version.

If you have seconds of dropout it's pretty likely your machine has other processes taking away CPU capacity, a process causes delays in processing or the system or components switch to power save mode.

Just to be sure: you are using an Asio audio driver... If not please change this first.
CPU capacity: e.g.. Anti virus, update services, using internet with low wifi bandwidth..
Delays: anti virus (exclude Cross db, analyses file and if possible tracks).
powersave: general settings, but also USB hubs(internal), external hdd, and such.

And assuming you checked for firmware and/or driver software of Denon?

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

thx for your answer but

yes i use the 3.3.11 version.

this machine 100% doesnt has other processes taking away CPU. I configure it all fpr making music. I play in the Club minimum 10 times wit these setup and Cross 32bit with absolutely no problems.
Last weekend i had these problems . I reboot the notebook and dropouts came again. Never had it before.

Now i find out when i start the 64bit first, it brings the exe issue. then i start again and it works. its crazy.
I dont know what to do now. You say it doenst matter if i start with 32bit? I thought it runs better with 64bit because of the ram storage.

Now iam scared to make music next time in the club with these dropouts.

Yes i have the newest driver and firmware for all stuff
