I've already answered in private but I'll also answer here so other people may read the answer:
BPM editing might come in future versions.
Indeed, if you BPM is wrong (plain wrong, not just halved or doubled), then the length of your sample is wrong too. Editing the BPM will allow you to correct it or simply delete the BPM (= no more timestretch, which might come useful for samples whose play mode is set as "sound")
