Cross often does not recognize Input 3/4

I am using Cross 3.3.11 with 2 Turntables and extern Mixer and the U46 MK2
Very often Cross does not recognize Input 3/4 for the second Turntable. Then I have to start it again a few times, plug the U46 in an out a few times, plug the TTs in and out a on the U46...

And with a little luck, it recognizes it sometimes.
This is very annoying. When I play on Radio and I want to start playing and the second TT is not working, ... thats horrible.

Does somebody know this problem? What can I do/try?
Do you think it is the Soundcard, or Cross?

It's not likely a Cross software problem.

Cross uses the audio channels of listed soundcards that are provided by the OS on startup of Cross.

If you get it to work more or less at random the best to start with excluding cable and connector issues.

I think all cables are ok.

The U46MK2 control panel board recognize both inputs/TTs, but Cross does not.

I found out that when I start Cross and it does not recognize the second Input, I have to chose the mac intern soundcard, quit Cross, start Cross again, and then Cross recognize the second input.
Tried this a few times, always worked. Thats strange
