Sync external Sequencer

Postby kidreece on 07 Apr 2016, 15:58

I Need to know how can I sync my Sequencer in Mixvibes Cross DJ like Traktor. For example you can use a Drummachine or Sequencer as a 3th or 4th Deck in your set and you need the BPM to sync with MIDI Clock. How can I start this feature or isn't it possible?

many thanks for your Support and help !!!

In v3.x (and earlier) this isn't available. There is no unique master and no MIDI output commands for this.

Not sure if the upcoming version will have it, but some redesign of the internal core routing likely is a step in this direction. So stay tuned.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Re: Sync external Sequencer & 64 BIT ASIO Drivers

Postby Clint Cutsail on 18 Jun 2016, 14:05

I too would like to know if Cross has any future plans to implement a MIDI time clock or sync to external time clock like Traktor. I would like to be able to utilize production workflow from Abelton while spinning tracks through Mixvibes Cross. For example, I want to be able to use Note or beat repeat in Abelton and have it match the BPM from my active CDJ deck. I have 2-CDJ 900's & a DJM-750 which work great in HID mode, and Cross is by far the best experience I have had concerning HID connections. The only problem is there isn't any external MIDI clock options.

The other thing is I have to use 32bit ASIO drivers for my CDJ's or DJM-750 which is fine, but I typically /prefer using 64-bit applications. Any idea if Cross will support 64-bit ASIO drivers for Windows in the near future?

Cross supports 64bit ever since Cross 64bit exists. It even is a requirement for using this version.
For the 3.x versions it only has benefits when using video.

My bad. I'm using my DJM750 as a sound card. I must've been thinking about a different application. I'm running 64 bit.
