Video Freeze but audio still playing

I have a really odd issue - If I connect the PC direct to either my Samsung 47" or Lilliput 7" field monitor via HDMI I get non-recoverable video freeze at random points in a MPEG4 track, the audio is still running and Mixvibes is still workable but I can no longer view any further tracks, audio only. If I connect the same PC to either of the same monitors via an Edirol V4EX HDMI video mixer I dont suffer the problem?

Could it be the mixer has a lower vid resolution.

Cross does prioritise audio over video and gui, as audio disturbance is most noticeable while performing.

You could be right on the mark there. The video mixer has an inbuilt scaler to bring its output up to 1080/50i and has an input resolution of 576p therefore Mixvibes is not working as hard, thank you. Simon

I have just run an MP4 video purely stand alone on the PC (HP Envy dv7) this is running win8 and I have had exactly the same result on the PC screen on the Mixvibe monitors. Video is frozen source & output, audio is still present and when I try running the other deck nothing. When I try and close Mixvibes it does not ask if I want to close the program either. This is REALLY worrying as I have an event in London at the Hilton Hotel on Friday (today is Thursday) in front of an audience of 1000 people for a charity boxing night in aid of Lukemia. Panic now setting in!!

Understand your problem and urgency...

At the header of the "track rack" you can right click and have the resolution and video bitrate visible.
Please check if these are really large.

Could you also post a capture of the overall gui when you have the state you expect it to work, including video strip visible.
