Cross 3.3.11 XONE32 OSX Soundcard vanishing

Hi,

I have used Cross for a while and have a gig coming up. Set it up last night and i have had a couple of instances of the sound card disconnecting whilst playing. A full restart did not fix it initially, subsequent problems have been fixed by pulling out the USB cable and then reinserting. Is there anything I can do to improve the reliability.

I am using the full version of Cross 3.3.11 (64 bit), El Capitan (10.11.2) and I have updated the Xone to the latest drivers from the A&H website.

It's hard to determine what was the cause by this info. Some general stop of audio causes can be a power save setting for a usb port or a different app simultaneously using the soundcard (eg YouTube vid in a browser) .

Is there any other information I should provide to help wit the trouble shooting ? I will check power saving and make sure I don't have other apps open.

Hi,

I have killed safari, other applications and disabled any power management features and have had a further occurrence of the issue.

Any more advice would be appreciated.

There's not to much chance it's a Cross problem. The problem more likely is that somehow the soundcard isn't present for Cross according to the OS.

I suppose you have tried increasing the buffer size of the audio as a low can cause audio to stop. If it worked close to the limitation it can be that a driver or os update pushes it over the limit.

As it doesn't seem to be a crash according to your description it's not likely you have any crash report.

Correct no crash report. I will try increasing the buffer size and will report back.
