Loading song Issue with Macbook Pro

I placed Cross DJ on my friend's Macbook Pro. His songs play in iTunes and are recognized by the Cross software when you open it.
But when I try to load a song to a deck,
the software says "song can't be found".
I checked the pathway on my Macbook Pro and I used the same one for his. Mine works, his doesn't.
Here's the pathway.

Users/username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml

Can anyone help me resolve this issue

Which versions are in use. Osx, iTunes, Cross...

Both Macbook Pros are using 10.10.5 (Yosemite).iTunes (the latest version) and Cross DJ 1.7. FYI. I also tried using Serato DJ and get the same result. it shows all his songs and playlists but won't load the songs to a deck. His music will play in iTunes. I've never seen this issue before.

You should upgrade to à recent version like 3.3.11.

OSX isnt backwards compatible. So mixvibes had to make changes. Version 1.7 is from several years ago.
