Runtime crashes appear to be nothing new to Mixvibes staff.
For 2 years I argued with Serato DJ about video problems. The audio would keep going, but video would stop. So I bought new gear and switched to Mixvibes. Now I have complete failure thanks to the generic runtime error. From what I read in the forums so far, I would guess I will hear the same crap that it's a mp3 or mp4 file problem. Here is something first before I get that response. I work with 5 other DJ's. We have 1 music pool we all draw from. scratch live, and, vdj8 run them just fine. Serato DJ, and mixvibes do not. Ive done the send me trouble files thing to Serato, they responded they couldn't duplicate the problem.
Can we figure this out or should I just move on to the next software?

Seems you are expecting magic.
You haven't provided any detail on your setup, version, circumstance, etc.

If you have a Mac please provide the crash reports. If you have windows you will have to check if crash files exist..

As every piece of DJ software uses the tracks in a different manner I don't see any reason to exclude the tracks to have imperfections.

It's pretty common to get an answer when reporting issues.

Okay, magic is not what I expect. Video player software that works when paid for I do. There are free programs that "crash".

I actually like Mixvibes DVS, probably the best I have ever used. There is no latency problem even below 2ms.It's very accurate.
The version, and drivers are up to date, the windows computer well exceeds requirements. I also have the advantage of no external drives or other usb devices. All unnecessary feature and programs are turned off.

I can tell you one thing, any video track will play audio with the video off. Open the video windows and it will fail at any given time.
I feel as thou the program will open any ol video file, but the so called crash is by how the program goes about managing it's actual playback. It's basically to generic to realize that one" lets use" (Mp4) is coded a bit different than the next.

Different tracks for many reasons may have different results. Different encoder/decoder for the same file type, different parameters used when rendered. Generated with different languages, different area codes. Changes by file tagging programs.

SO imoh no reason to not suspect tracks.

Simplest would be to provide a crashing track, as apparently you are the one having this. Latest video files I had issues with appeared to be missing some data due to 'remote copying'.
It is becoming rare but the devteam does have to add decoders and exceptions every now and than to handle tracks without crashing.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate you indicating that you have seen a video type problem yourself. I have no problem sending tracks, to whom ever you feel can help the best. Mixvibes does have other small quirks, like no site to buy a factory time code and a different approach to cue points, ect. But program stability is key here for all. Where should I send them as I find them?
