There are so many options for minimal setups..
Traktor Z1 could be fine, but I assume the level meters
are almost impossible to program for Cross since it deals with some hybrid MIDI data.
Another similar would be Akai AMX which has a couple of extra
controls on it as well.
Or perhaps use a REAL mixer (such as you already have)
and a Allen & Heath K2 which has 2 stereo outputs (read somewhere that it has pretty low sound output though).
Another option is the discontinued Reloop Contour Interface Edition (I used these for a year or so) which has an excellent soundcard and many controls.
But my current setup is the most lightweight to date!
* Pioneer DJM-250 mixer
* Traktor Audio 2 (very small soundcard)
* Launchpad mini for controls (transport, cues, loops, fx)
do you have a link for the controller you already have ,,the lightning 
to see if you need to add to this controller ,,also are thease controllers natively supportedmeaning mapped by Cross ,, can be a little bit inadated by doing the mapping your self ,,any thing is possible ,, 
no right on point ,,how much willing to spend ,, what are you trying to accomplish/control ,ie tracks/samples/fx/locators ,, what your needs are will help us give suggestions as to controllers for your needs ,
