Analize files

Postby THE VOICE on 16 Jul 2015, 15:49

Hi Have a problem .. Just updated to the latest for Mac (CrossDJ)from the version I was using before 2.3. I now notice that ALL my analized files are not showing up in Collection. All the files show in the iTunes and can be played but they are no longer showing that they are analized in the Collection folder. I used to add songs from the iTunes folder in CrossDJ and drop the added songs into the Collection folder but now the folder is empty??
Any ideas apart from having to start from scratch to analize All again??

I don't know the exact paths for Mac. I understand that you went from 2.3 to 3.3?

Try to locate a folder called peaks under the old version that is your analized files.

The new version uses a different path for the peaks files so you need to find that for version 3.X . A good way to find out is to analyze 1 track and see in what folder does the analyzed file now resides.

Copy all the files from the old peaks folder to the new one.
Open Cross and analyze all tracks for peaks only. Done

Thanks Tech/Support Will try what you suggested. Yes went from 2.3 to 3.3... (If I open up the 2.3 version which I kept the analized files in Collection have disappeared?? ) Maybe the folder peaks is still there somewhere.

Some more changes have happened in analysis. Also files have different names (id instead of filename reference).

Also audio is analyzed in more detail.

So your up for a big update...

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

I have found a "few" files in Peak (system-library-Mixvibes-crossDJ-Peak and dated back to 2011 so I guess these are some from the 2.3 versionalthough I did have all 7000 songs analized?))..Cannot find where the new version 3.3 stores its Peak files or the folder.
Q; If I get the 2.3 collection files back would these automatically sit in the 3.3 or viser/versa ?

In the settings tap for Cross there is an option to change the analysis path. looking at that will tell you where the new one are getting stored. Sorry i could not provide more detail as i am not in front of my gig computer.
