Removed settings file and it made no difference.

Getting a little hard to narrow down on issues if multiple topics. No doubt you know what you put where but not as easy for moderators and other users.

Cross 3.3.10 is compatible with Yosemite. Not necessarily with older versions of OSX. Maybe this triggered some but wouldn't explain to stay present in the mentioned clean install you did.

Not sure where 1.7 comes in but the database is not compatible with current version.

I have two threads running; this one for the Mac and another for my PC.
I merely mentioned about the older versions to show that it did work on the Mac at one time but after the OSX upgrades it no longer recognised as an audio decice. But then it is also not recognized on the fresh Yosemite install either. Hence the thread.
I'm just trying to get one (or both) platform working. I know that a Denon 6000 is usable straight away.

Hello everyone,

Sorry to bump this thread but I have recently purchased a U-Mix Control Pro 2 and am having exactly the same problems as djeddie.

I'm running an iMac late 2009, 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with OSX Yosemite version 10.10.5

My version of Cross DJ is 3.3.10 and I have tried this in both 32 and 64 bit.

The controller appears to be sending and receiving MIDI signals as all the faders, knobs and jog wheels work, the problems start when I try and use it as an audio device.

I cannot hear out of the headphones when trying to cue up a song and the software refuses to recognise it as an audio device. I have tried several USB cables and different ports, I have even tried a powered USB hub but the problem remains.

Has anyone managed to fix this issue yet or can anyone shed any light on what might be causing it?

I could probably get along by using it in Internal mode through the computer using a splitter cable but I only bought the thing so I could upgrade to Cross and use DVS at a later date.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Fatty

First step would be to upgrade to 3.3.11.

Try running in 32 bit mode. Once this runs you could try 64bit.

According to your avatar you have Cross DJ. This doesn't support DVS so upgrading to Cross would be required.

There is a Black Friday promotion so it might be the moment... Though understandable you may be cautious as it's not working for you yet.

Hello and thanks to both of you for the replies.

I didn't realise there was an update as my software said it was up to date.

I've downloaded the latest version 3.3.11 and tried in in both 32 and 64 bit and it has made no difference.

This is really frustrating as I'm a fan of the Cross DJ software and would love to upgrade to Cross and use DVS but if it won't work on my system with its own controller then I'm not going to risk paying out any more just yet.

This doesn't seem to be an isolated incident either as the symptoms djeddie posted original are identical to mine. It's like the unit doesn't exist as a soundcard...

For what it's worth, I've downloaded the latest Cross Demo to see if the full version is any different.

I've run it in both 32 and 64 bit modes and still the same issue.

I cannot believe that Mixvibes software will not work with a Mixvibes controller... There must be a solution out there somewhere???

Understandable you tried this, but not a full comparison as some shared parts, so not strange it has the same result.

I only have Win experience only.. Newer OS require newer drivers here... Many manufacturers never build 8.1 drivers, let alone w10 drivers. Scanners and printers (e.g. HP) had/have to be replaced...
And Apple is less flexible in backwards compatibility...
Still may be it can be made to work, but the devteam will have to confirm this.
