Re: Strange load track fault

Thanks Daniel, I unistalled 3.3.10 so i could use the machine over the weekend so didn't have the folder there to look. I've got another video gig this weekend, then I'll try and re-install it and see what it is that is going wrong and why it won't work properly.

Time to update this.
Tried different RAM (I'm up to 8Gb now), HDD and video cards, but to no avail. Still get exactly the same problems. So my question is this: when is the next update coming out? I need a solution to this problem as I'm losing trade for not being able to do video and I've paid for a product that doesn't work.
Tried 64 bit and had the same problem (and more! - it did it more often in 64 bit). There are no crash reports as it doesn't actually crash. I have to quit and re-start. Checked what strain is on the system when it's actually playing and the CPU load never goes above 28% and memory never goes above 5%. All the Apps that Windows puts in with 8 have been uninstalled so I can rule out anything else in the background. There's no AV running as the machine NEVER gets connected to the 'net, all files come through a machine that does run AV.
I've re-installed everything but it still remains the same - not working!
The motherboard is a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 and the uP is Intel G3220 3GHz as they're the only thing that hasn't been changed. As I said in a previous post 3.3.10 works on my old (under spec) system without fault (apart from HD video not playable, as expected really).

Read the topic again and only suggestion I don't see confirmed is removing the mixvibes.settings file.
This file can't be uninstalled as it is a user file.
Reinstalling Cross rarely solves anything.

Please use 32bit version first after removal to avoid issues relating to potential lack of 64bit drivers.
I'm afraid no clue is in this topic yet that would point out a root cause being in the software. So at this stage an update won't likely include a fix.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

The settings file was removed. In fact, every mention of Cross was removed before re-installation. And after trying the 64 bit version I reverted back to 32 bit.

I will get a video to show what it is doing rather than trying to explain and hopefully it will show all the faults that have happened.

All of the tracks used in the video are video tracks.

The first track loads as it should in A, the track in B is loaded yet shows no video, the same happens for the third track in A. The track shown first (playing audio and video in A) is now loaded into B where not only does it not show the video it also seems to have no audio... look at the waveforms.
After that, trying to load a track just leaves the spinning icons and that's when I have to quit and re-start the software. It leaves no crash report whatsoever, and I've left it in trying to load for fourteen hours and it won't, it will just sit there.

The only difference between 3.0 and the latest version is that 3.0 will carry on working if I try to load an MP3 track when it's in it's "fault" state, the latest version won't. Hence I'm still using (well trying to use) 3.0.

As you can see the software is completely unusable professionally... how am I supposed to use it if I have to re-start it every few minutes?

Stopped downloading after it took me one hour to get ~100MB. Uploading to a quicker source would be beneficial

In that case, can anyone recommend a filehost that's more suitable?
