I'm a complete noob about DJ sw, but this Sunday I did need to manage video&audio mix for a live event in a theater (a NPO acting as ballet school).
My need are pretty simple: playlist, manual control of the next video/audio to be played, manual crossfade when needed in the middle of some song/clip.
Here my question: when I did push the Auto crossfade triangle work as expected, except I can't make it play the second item automatically. Any hint?
Also I did have a specific need: in one element I need to switch between two videos, but leaving the same song in play. Any way to achieve that?

Here some info Sw: Cross DJ Free 3.2 Hw: working on MacBookPro Late 2011 model for the event, now on my Lenovo X220 to setup, no external MIDI controller, an external cinema projector (Eiki EIP-HDT20 DLP) for video, external mixer for audio
How do I register a free product? Want to unlock the full video feature, need to do that now?
Ok with Autoplay, will play more with this feature.
About the second question didn't want to switch video with audio, want to maintain the very same audio but switch between two videos in the meantime.

Understood the Cross DJ version is better, but I'm not interested to 14FX (did use none) nor samplers, at present stage interested only to unlock the video feature (mean cancel watermark). If the feature "Routing modes" in audio mean I can control what asked in last question that's the only reason I can be interested for the Cross DJ. More features mean also normally more complexity and I did have just 4 days to setup all for the first test day.

Also is possible to add during the play a video effect, such as play another video on top of the current one in a new layer? The second video will be on transparent background so that the first one will be still visible.
