Long time no post. Hi everyone.
Suddenly when I plug in my U-Mix Control Pro 2 Windows lists it as "USB Audio Device" instead of the full name.
When I select Asio as my audio device in Cross I can still set everything up to get it to work, but if I select U-Mix Control Pro 2 from the Audio Device dropdown I'm asked to plug it in even if it's already plugged in...
A minor annoyance but weird nonetheless. I've reinstalled the control panel program but that didn't do anything.
What might have caused this and what's the impact?

long time no hear ,, we have similiar set ups ,, not shure what os you are running and you are still listing 3.2 version in your footer ,, yes its still issues with drivers for 64 bit for the U-Mix Control Pro 2 , so i use 32 bit version when i use my controller havent come across this issue but will try to reproduce it ,, so info will fill in the gaps ,, something has changed ,, ie up dates not shure what,,

Ah, I'm on 3.10. I last used my setup in March. Only memory, can't prove it but I'm 95% sure that Windows listed U-Mix Control Pro 2.
I know this because I could switch in Cross between Asio and U-Mix in the drop down menu. Make sense?

Sorry, I meant the latest version as you listed it.
I get the same problem in both 32 and 64 bit. I will screenshot later but I do not see what you see in Cross

I had a similar issue on my thinkpad (T410) and could solve it by installing Cross 64 Bits while using the asio4all audio driver.
If you are unsure that this may work test it on a different installation before fooling around with yours just because I told you so ;-)

I uninstalled the "USB Audio Device" in Device Manager and restarted. Plugged in the UMCP2 and heard the Windows notification - didn't see any driver install process, but that's fine/normal. After a few seconds I opened up Audio Devices and there it was, U-Mix Control Pro 2 Opened Cross 64-bit, changed the audio device to ASIO4ALL and no problems! Solved! I just have no idea why that happened but maybe I got lazy with using different USB ports and didn;t realise. Will always use the same one now. Thanks for all of your help on this one.
