Cross Demo with Gemini Slate 4 [Issues]

Postby masterdeeno on 31 May 2015, 04:09

I am new to this forum as I am trying out Cross with my Gemini Slate 4. I understand thay it is not natively supported and so I tried creating a map for it. I only tried couple basic buttons and have encountered the following issues:

1) I have installed the demo software for only 5 days or less, but it is kicking me out after few minutes of evaluation. I thought it would run longer and will only start to quit after the 15 day eval period?

2) Everytime the software reboots, the button mappings that I created seems lost or automatically got re-configured. For example,
the play button won't play anymore, until i go back to settings and re-map it.

3) Is there a way to instruct the controller to light up the buttons whether it's toggle or hold function?

4) What "button function" should I be using to browse my directories and trakcs using the same rotary? The "browse tree" and "browse track" functions seems to be exclusive of each other amd I'm having a hard time assigning the same button for almost the same function.

 certain issues arise with the demo version ,, not shure of the full limitations ,,but its a demo ,,gives a feel for the software ,,
if you have started mapping your controller and familiar with basic MIDI mapping you can look into the MIDI map and see whats avaible to map ,,
the MIDI out from Cross is another issue and the MIDI mapping tool ,,(check fourm ) will hopefully give some assistance ,,, as you get over the learning curve ,,the correct questions will get you the answers to get your mapping done, some MIDI mapping gurus will asist you in your endervors
hope this helps ..hope you enjoyed the demo and will get the full versions ,
