Please be a little more descriptive.
What kind of backup are you using. Is the destination collection empty. When does it go wrong... or such.

The problem seems to occur when you're trying to overwrite the current collection with a newer version of it, backed up on a different machine. (For example, I buy music on my desktop, setup all my cue points, then I export the collection, copy the file to laptop and restore it.)

Starting a new collection, then restoring the one you backed up seems to get around the issue.

for me I tried a restore on a fresh installation of Cross on my Macbook Air (in order to sync the collection from my iMac). Both running on 3.3.10. I tried including with all media files.
As described this did not work.
I now tried a backup withou media files, this also did not work.
I then extracted the content of the ZIP and copied the content manually (Analysis Files to the Analysis folder in the library, and Collection file to the Mixvibes folder). Opening the new collection worked.
However using the standard way would be much more elegant! :)
