...as ronald correctly said: give the MIX-knob a try and additionally check, if the "A" and "B" (also "C" and "D" if running 4-channels) beside the crossfader are switched on/off.
For me (for example) it is very important to be able to disengage the x-fader when running 4 channels so I can fade in/out every single channel while talking into the mic and so on. Sometimes, switching it off happens by user by fault, especially when using the mouse on the x-fader. So, please check it.
