Cross DJ & Hercules RMX set up help please

No response from Hercules forum - obviously not as helpful as you guys

Downloaded, uninstalled, redownloaded the Hercules drivers several times & the tray has a a dirty big red Cross through it! No access to the control panel. i'll have ago at uninstalling the ASIO package & try again.

It's a very slow forum There are a couple of very knowledgeable Hercules team members that help out but you don't see them very often.

I once beta tested for Hercules so I know there pretty good

Be aware that if the hercules driver is 32bit you have to use the 32bit version of Cross.

Asio4all only uses wdm drivers not asio.

Tried uninstalling ASIO & re-downloading Hercules drivers but no joy.
I can't access the Hercules control panel & the tray thing in the bottom right has a big red Cross through it.....

Using Vista as OS.

Still not had any reply on the Hercules forum

Could Vista be using the RMX soundcard as it's default card and blocking the ASIO driver, if you get what I am saying, lol

All version 3.x have Win7 as minimum spec.

You can try to download version 2.6 from the archives. First try if this works. Then work your way up until it doesn't work....

Driver issues with discontinued OS's might be a problem....

Daniel did run Vista until his machine passed. Think this was appx a year ago. He might be able to tell which version worked for him. However this doesn't guarantee your hardware drivers are as capable as his setup was.

dont think its a problem with vista ,, got new computer 6-8 months ago ,, ran vista even with the early 3.0,, thinking its with the driver as to checking if the os is using the hurcules sc as default easy to check and most times a error would have come up in Cross,,jim has more of a handel on it ,,can you post screen shots of the os sound audio set up to see what sc are avaible ,,

if you do decide to try rolling back then take heed ,, info in this posting

Right - i'll post some pics later with the OS soundcard & other assorted things when I get back from work.

Hopefully save me having to splash out on a new OS....

Just uninstalled & reinstalled Hercules drivers.

In device manager it's showing as follows:



And in control panle it shows:



But in Cross I'm only getting this:

I'm missing the DJ Console RMX Bulk & DJ Console RMX MIDI & still no acces to the Hercules control Panel

Seems like everything is working via Hercules except the headphones.........
