TRYING TO SCRATCHING - ION DISCOVER DJ

Hi!

Sorry for the bad english. I am from Brazil.

I just bought an Ion Discover Controller. I only want to scratching hip hop samples.

I installed Mix Vibes that came into the box.

THE SCRATCHING SOUNDS VERY STRANGE (BAD).

I tried to set all the configuration options, but it keeps bad.

Is it normal?
Is there a way to sound good (like on traktor)?
Is the a problem with my controller?

URGENT! Because I have few days to return the controller if it's got a problem.

If you go to preferences/ Audio which samplerate do you use?

For scratching you need a low Samplerate 256 or lower

The Problem is that the Normal Soundcard driver not for this Low Latency`s

Try using Asio4All or you have an Asio Soundcard

not shure what version you are using , there was a version updated for the le version of Cross for the ion controller if i remember right ,, to download you will need to regerster the software licence key in the fourm ,,,user control panel /profile /serial # hope this helps

Guys, thanks for the answers.

jaymarkus - I just tried to change the latency, but it doens't solved the problem.
I also installed Asio4All, but it doens't solved the problem.
My interface is a good one, Tascam 144MKII.

There is no delay, but the scratching keeps with a very strange (annoying) sound - even 256 or lower latency.


daniel clark - I checked the Mixvibes CD. That's Cross LE - version 1.0.
I couldn't check if this one is the newest one.
Do you think updating would solve the problem?

Cross 1.0 thats not possible
the first official Version was the 1.31


If you download the newest Version for the LE is the 2.6.0 there are many new things implemented.

the software cd sleeve has the licence key on it ,, enter it in the fourm , gives access to download section ,, to up date your software ,,, there was one update for the discover DJ by ion ,, other option would be to download the demo version and see if the newer vers has repaired the problem then purches the version of you choice ,, the demo has limitations ,but supports MIDI control ,
