Sorry if this is in wrong spot. I own the old Mixvibes pro and was gutted when support stopped so moved to Traktor, now that Cross has Soundcloud I am thinking about purchasing, but my demo makes crazy buffer repeating sounds when I hold the platter on my VCI-380, and couldn't find answers with google, so my questions are-
Is scratching possible with my Vestax controller? and if so is scratching Soundcloud tracks possible? can my platter LEDS show track possition, and if so does it stay in the same spot or drift like old Mixvibes pro did?
If all is good will purchase within the week.
Thank you for your time.

I thought the demo version didn't support any controllers?

Cross Free: Limited functions. Unlimited period. Cross Demo : (Almost) all functions, limited period. Your settings can be like (db values may vary; start at 0). Don't think there is a limitation regarding use of input. Unless you're overdue with the demo... My demo period is over so can't do the testing... Default input vinylsetting.png select in deck inputselectionlinedeck.png DVS settings vinylcontrol.png For the use of DVS it is important to Mute the inputs in the settings of the soundcard. Don't have this type, but pretty sure the tool can be downloaded from the downloads section even when not yet registered properly.

Thank you for your great reply RoJeC, yet maybe I was not precise enough explaining my problem. I want to use the MIDI encoder jog wheels on my vci380 for scratching. The wheels automatically worked when firing up Cross, yet they create crazy jitter sounds rather than scratching sounds. It seems weird to me that the iPad app when moving a finger on the screen sounds better than the full program with a quality MIDI controller. Peace bro.
Could someone from Mixvibes please respond, I am a mixvibes pro customer wanting to pay more money for your recent offering, and this forum is the place I was led to for tech questions.
I need to know if jogs work well for scratching, if the cue position stays in place, or drifts, any MIDI latency problems, and if Cross for Mac can output a 0-127 CC platter LED signal.
If I have missed so ething, and there is another place I should be asking these questions, please point me inthe right direction.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Just my two cents. The is no 0-127 CC signal output from the platter. In the past i had asked if this output could be made available as well as a 0-127 CC signal output for the beat circle/clock but have not seen anything done in this regard.

Thanks, Problem solved after pressing the cd/vinyl button about 50 times, it changed. I think the problem may be that the stock VCI380 MIDI map has a bug that held the button in cd mode even when the controller is turned off. Thanks for all the help guys. vid of cd/vinyl button not working https://www.dropbox.com/s/dkg1tol8s9c7i ... 8.mp4?dl=0but all good, if it is just a MIDI thing I will be able to fix when i purchase full version today. thanks again guys.
