Re: Cross 3.3 latency problems on mac

Yes me too, I have a got a huge problem of "latency" when using HID system, using CDJ2000 for controlling the software.
Never have this problem before. Until recently I was using 2.6 version that has been working without a bug for many years (with buffer size 512 sample, 11.6 ms). And I have been so disappointed with 3.3 version. First time i tried with 3.3.3 in HID system (also with 512 sample, 11.6 ms), one of the deck was working properly but the other one has a huge delay between the moment I press play on the CDJ2000 and the moment when the software actually play the track. Then I update to 3.3.6 and try again, everything work fine for 1 or 2 hours, but then again one of the deck get the problem of "delay" or "latency", but big one like at least one second.
I will create a post for this specific problem for HID with details

Sonido Los Reyes - I have an old 2010 core II duo Macbook Pro with 8gb ram which runs Cross just fine. I would suggest upgrading your RAM before getting another laptop. Your laptop spec is high & there should be no need to upgrade. Also check the speed of your external hdd, make sure there is no other hdd software running, limiting Cross' access to all the files.

There is a fair chance more memory resolves it. It could also reduce CPU usage for the peak, as tasks can be done parallel instead of successive (at peak moment).

The devteam tries to get most out of the hardware. On one side this means trying to reduces CPU usage by the present features, on the other side adding features that grab the freed capacity as well as the additional capacity of the ever increasing mem/cpu capacity.

In my opinion this is why version 3 was a major rewrite, so the abilities that 64-bit has can be truly used, like using over 3,5gb mem (max of 32-bit) for more complex algorithmes and to be able to do more in parallel.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

I think the problem goes beyond what he describes "-Sonido- los- Reyes" below share them with PROBLEMS video that is causing me the program in version 3.3.9.

Also I attached my computer specifications if they want to see that in my opinion, the machine is ample capacity.
