Thanks, that's good to know.

It does actually work on my wifes macbook air in yosemite, but not on my macbook pro.

I've tried updating to the latest version 3.2.3 and I still can't launch the app?

Any ideas?

The latest version is somewhat higher. Several updates after 3.2 have been present in the app store.
To be able to download from the website it might be good to register as updates are available sooner due to Apple check procedure.

Thanks, I have now registered and have version 3.3.8 installed, but I still can't get past the splash screen?

Let's get back to the basics...
Disconnect all devices and first have Mac only working properly.

Move (not delete, unless there is nothing useful yet) your last used collection file to an other folder ( *.crossdb + maybe associated journals)
Delete the mixvibes.settings file once more (for the current user)

This should require the program to start without any history.

Please let's know the result

Thanks, I disconnected everything except the power supply.

Then re-started and tried to run Cross DJ, but it still stopped at the splash screen.

I then deleted all the .crossdb and journal files (as I've not done anything with Cross DJ yet) but I still can't get it past the startup screen?

I had already deleted the mixvibes.settings file and I can't see it now.

It seems to start fine on my wife's macbook air, so I just don't know what the problem is with my macbook pro. We both have the same (latest) OS, yosemite 10.10.1?
