Re: Saving mixes and USB output query

I have quite a few devices (eg a Line 6 UX2 guitar modeller with Gearbox) and the software knobs move easily with left button and drag on the touchpad.

The Mix knob in CrossDJ is almost impossible to control on this laptop so I will play with key mapping, thanks.

For the simple setup I have on the laptop would I just stick with Mix knob fully left with Master on A to speaker and cue everything on B through the phones?

I can obviously still play B through speakers (and phones simultaneously) by moving the fader slide over to B.

Thanks again, Vigman

The latter part is the idea of using it. Move Cross fader to select Main output (your speakers). If you use one deck for playing you'll always have silence in between 2 tracks...
For Cueing you de/activate the headphone button per deck.

Often you don't need to mix Main into head phone as Main will be the same as Cue. The main difference is that the Main signal also has deck fader volume and FX in it... Once you are familiar with the basic routing just play around and within hours you know...

A different world to my MIDI creation/Sequencing/Audio sampling/Guitar modelling world.......BUT have now moved on in leaps and bounds, especially after assigning keys for the mix knob!

Finally, for today anyway, am I right that the LE version doesn't offer the full deck/sampler linking options as the icons in the general manual don't appear on my screen. I seem to have the beatclock facility but no "enable/disable link"?

Enough for now and thanks again

Hard to tell for us which controller has which LE functions as it is depending on manufacturer choices.

Check out your menu to see what is present and may be enabled.

If you're happy and miss some functions you can consider upgrading to one of the full versions as well as the current version.
