Thanks for letting me in, Admins!
Last week I bought the basic Envivo badged USB DJ controller with CrossDJ LE 2.6.0 (after upgrade). It would not run on an XP PC but is running on a Vista laptop.
I have watched a lot of Youtube tutorials, read FAQ and posts here but still have 2 basic questions:
1.) How do you save a mix so that next time you open it all the settings are the same ie all samples are on the right decks with the synced tempos with all the loop settings etc etc exactly as they were? (I can record the output of a chosen setup, but not get back to it again)
I am probably wrong but creating and saving a 'collection' simply saves the samples that were used and they have to be re-assigned to the decks and re-looped?
2.) On this single socket USB model deck going to a PC with one soundcard, is there any way of sending Master to the speakers (via line out to amp+speakers) and Cue to USB headphones? I can send to one or the other, but I think you have to have two sound sources (eg an extra external soundcard) to do this??
TIA

Try asio4all - http://www.asio4all.com/You should be able to config asio4all to do as you describe.

You can't save the session as is (i.e. with loaded tracks). Your collection (i.e. database) is always automatically saved, no need to worry about it. In samplers, you can save samplebanks. Just reload them when you need them!

may be this is what you are seeking the history saves the tracks played ,,loops are stored in the track ,, last one set up ,,locators also ,, saved sample banks can be labeled also ,,ie to date or mix usage,, what you are looking for is probly not possibile ,,but what can be done is ,,not shure that this workaround will fit the bill history Capture.JPG

Thanks everyone for quick responses! It's given me a lot to look into.
Although a newbie here I am a conventional multi-instrument musician and also a MIDI composer who has sold commercially. On top of this, I was a technical IT Manager at a university in the UK. However, I have never played with track mixing and thought the USB deck would be a bit of fun.
Turns out, that like everything, there is a lot to learn in the early stages in order to get going.
It does seem slightly odd to me that there is no way the completed mix screen and preloaded settings can't just be saved and recovered as I imagine many people would want this facility?
Maybe when I get to grips with the basics, like the history, things will become clearer.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to ask me musical or IT related questions, please go ahead!
Finally, can't see why pitch=tempo in CrossDJ when they are different fundamentals?
Thanks again

Vigman i think you are refering to the selection for pitch transtions ,, if you select between the three you will see the different ways Cross deals with different pitch adjustments ,, speed/mttempo ../ play around with the software to see what it can do ,, did you ever get your sc issues strightened out hate to refere you to the user manual ,, but you should realise that info as well as experience will give you out come you desire

Yes, I got quite a way into the manual before I found the Youtube demos.....but back to the RTFM principle now!
It was in the demo videos that someone referred to increasing the 'pitch' when they actually meant 'tempo'!
Thanks

Almost a year ago I bought a single socket USB 2 model deck with Cross DJLE 2.6.0 It is connected to a laptop with one internal sound card with one phones output.
Is there any way of sending Master to the speakers and Cue to headphones from the single output socket (split mono?)
I can send output to one or the other, but even though I have installed Asio4all (after a similar posting last year) and played with many possible settings.
Am I asking the impossible from this setup, please?
Thanks
