Cross force close

Postby vladelis on 26 Nov 2014, 14:14

Hi,

I'm using the newesr version Cross DJ 64 bit (3.3.6) and it force close after some time period. My audio interface is U46MK2, PC: Windows 8 64bit, 4gb ram, intel core 2 duo P8400 2,26 GHz, Ati mobility radeon 3470. I installed newest version of controller drivers 3.0. I'm thinking that's issue is because of Windows 8 and interface drivers, because the drivers is actually developed for Windows 7. Any suggestions?

If it would be drivers the problem would be around for over 2 years for everyone using w8.

Based on the limited info available it is a little more likely that one or a few tracks cause trouble. (If something happens after using it for a while the driver is less likely to be the problem)

This would be on load to deck or with analyses activated in an other way.
If you can find such, please make the tracks available to the devteam so they can try to catch the error and avoid Cross to crash.

An alternative may be to install ASIO4ALL and use this with the WDM driver. This could have different behaviour if it does appear to be a driver issue.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

I've seen other post, where one person said that force close issue occurs with 64 bits of windows and 4gb ram systems. The ram usage grows up to 100%( i figured it out with task manager).

Could well be...
Thinkpad X240, 8 Gb / 512Gb SSD
running Cross 3.4.3 64-bit
Allen & Heath K2, Pioneer DJM-450

So is there solution? Somebody said that this can be solved by adding more ram, but i can't do that because my system is old and not support ddr3 ram.
