USB Soundcard Issue - "Couldnt change sample rate"

Postby rushking on 20 Nov 2014, 20:20

Hey there,

I m using the free Version atm and I cant get Cross DJ to work with my USB Soundcard (Creative X-Fi). If I want to select the device in the audio setup it always fails "Cant change the sample rate". This result is: No sound device is selcted and if I choose the Soundcard again the message will appear again.

I tried it with different DJ Programms and there it does work :( But I fell in love with the DJ Cross Programm.

Any ideas?

The onboard soundcard works just fine. If I try to use the external one it does not work.

I don't thing it's about an audio limitation.
How is seen your audio usb by other soft. Cross adapts itself to different audio range. I don't understand and in fact I never seen before this message.

Hey there,

so this is again error message (in english this time^^):
http://abload.de/image.php?img=crossdj34zuml.png

This is how it is working in a freeware programm:
http://abload.de/img/crossdj2j1uhp.png

In another trial version:
http://abload.de/img/crossdj12xu2z.png

As you said, I m confused too. Because I try to select the device, and I do not try to change any sample rate or whatsoever.

Edit:

Ok finally I got it right. For anyone who comes up with the same problem:

- select the onboard/standart device (in the DJ Cross Settings)
- change the Hz to 48000 or 96000 in the DJ Cross Settings
- now you can select the USB Device (in the DJ Cross Settings) (if you keep it at 44100, like I did, you cant change it. And the error above will display.

Strange, but I tried it several times. So I think it is stable :)

Thanks nevertheless for your help. I m impressed how fast I got an answer!
