Hi Guys,
I currently use Cross 3.3.x and something that people may or may not know is to add exclusions to your Antivirus, this will help Cross with access times. I use Eset's NOD32 as it is the lightest client I have ever found and have never had a Virus problem with it.
The main folders I exclude are (Under Windows 8.1 64bit)
C:\Users\John\Music\MixVibes\*.* - Collection Database C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming\MixVibes\*.* - Analysis Files C:\Program Files\MixVibes\*.* - Covers 32 or 64 bit executables. M:\* - External Music Store
For safety I scan the PC and Media store with all exclusions over ridden just to make sure nothing nasty has crept in.
Hope this is of help to someone out there.
John

RoJeC wrote:Good info. You haven't mentioned 'Collections' folder. Also recommended to exclude.
And of course disable sleep and powersaving options on OS, hdd and USB hubs.

Good Morning:
Would turning off the virus software have the same effect as the previous posts? I do this before I gig.
Thanks DDJJ
