Cross DJ LE 2.6.0 Strange tags

Postby neiljor on 27 Oct 2014, 11:46

Hi, when trying to import the Now 85 album, it shows in CrossDJ entirely in chinese characters. No other music program on my laptop shows this, nor does MP3Tag. How can I troubleshoot?

Thanks
Neil.

Most of my collection is fine. There are a few albums like this though.

I googled this and someone suggested loading the file into audacity to see the tags. I did this and sure enough the tags are in Chinese.

I have about 5 albums affected and all were bought from Sainsburys Music store! MP3Tag to the rescue!!

Have seen this to in the past. Think it was around 2.6. One reason other programs don't have this might that Cross has/had support for Asian language which I think is Japanese.

If it's not repeatedly I would batch edit the info.

Investigation may be quite difficult as many layers are involved in between creating a file in a language with character sets at one device and using it at a different device with other character sets.
