Importing Into The Collection

Postby oswaldbobb on 21 Aug 2014, 16:09

How when you import your audio collection from a drive are you able to have Cross DJ keep the folders and sub-folders just as they are in your hard drive instead of just showing a list of the tracks, I need the folders to stay just as they are in the drive.

Hi,

You can keep the tracks anywhere. Cross will use the location to store the track info exclusive in the collection.
If you want to access the files by location you can use the 'files' node in the GUI (or even by search in the 'location' field).
Once you use Cross there is a fair chance that you'll find out that location isn't that important, as the sort and search functions are way faster than using the folder structure of your drive.

You can import by selecting any level in the folder structure and have all subfolders imported at once.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).
