Cross 3.0 and up makes my laptop work more.

this issue might have been addressed before but here we go.
Ever since 3.0 using mix vibes for simple mixing gets the fan on my laptop going. I thought I didnt have enough ram so I upgraded to an 8gb but it still does this.

If you switch off video in preferences the cpu usage will go down. On the other hand the growing hardware capacity allows for new functions.

Sometimes cleaning your laptop might help. I do vacuum clean my laptops every now and then. Put on a low power vacuum. And please be sure your laptop doesn't have dip switches that can get loose.

I use serato and tractor and neither of em I have problems with.didnt have the problem either in 2.6 only 3.

I will try the video off though and see what happens

The minimum specs changed from 2.6 to 3.0, as 'older' hardware doesn't have the capacity for the current functions.

To my opinion a cooling fan kicking in can hardly be called a problem. It would be a problem if your device is within specs but doesn't do the job.

CPU usage always is of concern, as it is mostly the limitation for implementing new features.
