SELECT VIDEO OUTPUT WITH 2 VIDEO CARDS

Postby Alejandro Guerrero Higuera on 06 Jun 2014, 19:37

Hi, I have an ASUS laptop that has 2 video cards, one INTEL4000 integrated graphics and a dedicated chip NVIDIA 745m 2GB of RAM. Is there any way to know which video card is sending the Cross output because I notice that in high definition videos is much lower frame rate and I would like to know what is due.

 just a thought ,,which card out put are you using ,, had a set up on win vista and the video card that was used is the one you have your monitors attached to ,, ie onboard vid card was pluged into and the o s selected that one  unless your mother board is set up to run dual vid cards (at same time) it will select the one being called for ,, try using one or the other ,,(but first turn off you computer) and see the differences in the vid section control panel,, ,,look up the spec of both cards and you will see the differenvces ,, me thinks the selection will be for the nivida card ,,

:?: does the intell card ,, (probly on the motherboard ) support multiable displays :?:

Its quite difficult to explain, but the fact that both video cards are available at all time I have 2 video outputs (hdmi and micro video port aka vga), what are available from Windows 8.1, its to select one from another from the sub menu in the mouse pointer, to run whit the program ,integrated graphics Intel or nvidia high performance video card. I select of course nvidia but even when I choose Intel, don't see any improvement. Per example, in vdj7pro I have the option to activate video hardware acceleration, and thats activate the nvidia video card. Tomorrow will post the screen caps to be more explained, thanks for your time men, have a nice weekend.
