HI,
I’m having some trouble setting up Cross with my soundcard, a new Steinberg UR 44.
Laptop : i7 4700Qm – 120gb SSD – 1tb HDD - 8 GB ram – external mixer Vestax pmc 05 pro II – Steinberg UR44 – Technics SL1200
I’m trying to connect one turntable as control surface for deck A, deck B is controlled internally by the software. I copy the deck A-> B each time I have made a mix, so I am always mixing in the A deck with the turntable. Basic one-deck DVS operation.
So I….
Connect the phono outputs of the turntable to the UR44 Line IN 5/6
Connect the UR44 line OUT 1&2 to my mixer channel 1 Line IN
Connect the UR44 line OUT 3&4 to my mixer channel 2 Line IN
I setup the Cross software:
Tab Audio:
Input 1 : UR44 Line IN 5&6 Output 1: UR44 Line OUT 1&2
Input 2: None Output2: UR44 Line OUT 3&4
Tab Vinyl/Cd:
Check box deck A
Input : UR44 Line IN 5&6
I need to amplify the signal about 30db to get the control vinyl to calibrate.
Now the MV Vinyl will control the track in deck A but the sound of the timecode, the sine wave is also amplified!
I thought the software would handle this, taking out the signal of the sine wave and just letting the music through? I have tried any number of settings and don’t seem to be able to get rid of it.
All help appreciated!!
