Re: Cross CDJ850 DISTORTION ISSUE

It is getting close to everything being tried.
You did swap the devices also by settings and not by cabling and Cross settings only...
In routing I see one test left which is taking out the mixer and listen or record direct from cdj. Be gentle on volume but should be appx line level.

And am sorry to have to say that the duplication makes a hardware or usage issue more likely as many others should have reported this issue.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Thanks for your response. I'll try tomorrow with your suggestion on removing mixer from the equation. Again don't get hung up on the duplication of track issue, thinking back all of my mixes through this set up have varied in quality (sound wise not skill!) from track to track, I.e. Sounds good then sounds duff whichis basically channel 1 sounds great and channel 2 sound ranges from duff to distorted.

I hope I get this sorted as I'm a big fan of Cross as it really opened up the 850s into a powerful tool (without having to fork out for 900/2000s),

This is weird. I took the deck A rca cable out of the mixer to feed direct into the UCA202 to monitor through the headphones, but the sound magically was still coming out of the mixer(!) - and i can still fully control the deck A. It seems as though the decks are swapping use of each others soundcard, but the control of each deck remain as you would expect.

Update a quick reboot and reconnect later and each deck is assigned to the right output A to 1 and B to 2. I did try the sound direct out of the CDJ and bypassed the mixer and the distortion still exist ive tried several other track and the sound derogation/distortion is still their some worse than others only though Output 2.

Happy to assist the mixvibes crew explore what going on to sort this.
