Re:Crosspack

Postby dR3+tS on 06 May 2014, 05:11

Hi.
Ive just received Cross Pack in mail and installed disc and have submitted my licence key in my profile.
I just realised that i needed to connect U46MK2 and decks/denon cd/usb media player...whatever....as thats why its not coming up in audio configuration.
Does it matter if I've already installed Cross and can i just connect the audio interface etc anyway?

Thanks.

Jonathon.

Cross checks for available soundcards and MIDI devices on startup. So you can add anytime. Just restart Cross if it appeared to running.

Can somebody on here help out!
These responses are way to vague and are not helping.
I'm starting to think I'm going to have to get someone to physically come over so they know what it is I'm trying to figure out!
I asked a basic question about groundwires on decks(turntables)....the other week.
You can have already had your groundwire off your deck removed and wanted to know am I going to just be wasting my $ on Crosspack all because of what a lot of people do go about getting done at the time they get the guts of the pitch taken out.
I just wanted an answer.....you would think in this day and age when a lot of people get gwire removed......Cross would of by now made the audio interface friendly......yes/no with that?

Starting to think I've just gone and wasted my money now.
Too many vague answers.......

I still can't get sound today outta my speakers.
I calibrated stuff....its on the players AB decks.....coming outta my headphones.
I'm using denon CD DJ player/technics SL1200 and Cross mixer obviously...not ext mixer....not any MIDI.....and amplifier with speaker attached...no sound coming out of speaker!
Strange whistling noise coming from.stylus when on time code playing vinyl......Jesus Christ.....don't tell me I have to go and reconnect a ground wire to my deck again!?
My external mixer does not even need that.....but I'm using Cross int mixer....audio interface U46MK2!!.....should be able to of compensated for that you would of thought!
I know I'm not only one who has gwire not on his turntable anymore.

To bad it does not work at once. The long version of how to setup is in the manual. As usual one or two settings makes the differences we try to ask and suggest briefly. Saves times on both sides. Lots of suggestion can be made, but trying all does not necesarilly make you feel better.

Did you download the latest drivers from the download center?
Are you using PC or MAC and what version.
Try to not use 'phono'. Set all to 'Line' Both at the hardware as the software settings. (if you hardware has phone only, then all to phono)

Select Dual Stereo in Preferences | Audio

Try disabling audio input.

Please post a capture of your preferences | Audio tab.

Grounding is not created by Cross or a USB powered interface. If it is grounding than a general thing to do is making sure you only use one wall socket only to connect all devices to. Disconnecting the audio of the devices could help to get ride of it (disconnect all and wait for like half a minute before reconnecting).

It is very unlikely it won't work in your situation.

Im running mac OS...latest OS n all....Mavericks.
I still don't know what the other guy is going on about the "grounding thing"!!??
I just wish someone by now would of known what it is I'm still trying to get through to people....god only knows I've tried.
It has nothing to do with at the wall grounding in regards to the ground lug!
In Australia...as part of deck service... you get the pitch (centre) 0.0% removed as it is a known grey area(0.0+/-%??).. as far as technics SL1200'S turntables are concerned.....and as part of the service package they CUT OFF!! the ground lead as no more hum and obviously no need to connect to ground lug on mixer....so i keep asking the same for USB Audio interface(U46MK2)
Although I still yet to even get audio interface connected yet as i have just read the detailed 174 page user guide of Cross Pack/LE/U-Mix..etc..and there is way more detailed info in regards to everything on there so i either just connect/disconnect trial and error according to what i can take from here.....or have to get someone to physically be here and do it.
The user manuals are ridiculously too vague...or go on and on about too much stuff.....and all i want/need to do is set the thing up.
yeah...a picture paints a thousand words but that involves more work...snapshots etc....im going to just ring up the merchant in melbourne tomorrow and they can just tell me over the phone how to set up....

Why does downloading the latest drivers...etc....have anything to do with things?
I just installed a brand new Cross installation disc i got from complete Cross Pack today for pete sake...Input 1/2 can only fit one turntable/one cd player...vica versa...turntable on left...cd player on right!!
Ive already had them coming up under the calibration/players A&B on Cross....see I'm repeating myself over and over again...ive said the same things over and over and I'm not getting anywhere so i will just ring the bloke tomorrow in melbourne or get someone to come around....this is ridiculous!
