Hey everyone.

I know my Behringer CMD-DC1 has the ability to change buttons lights colors. Anyway to control this feature from Cross? For example, when I press a shift defined button, I want it to go from orange (default light color) to blue, as long the shift is on.

Any help on this will be very much appreciated. Thanks

Every controller is different so it depends on the controller capabilities. Generally speaking you will have to map a shift logic command to the shift button and then map 2 states to the lights. One state for normal operation and one state for when the shift button is pressed. The details as to which parameters (for LED ID), which value (for LED state and color) and which channel (for your particular controller) should be found on a MIDI table that is provided by the controller's manufacturer.

You will have to modify the mapping file for your controller to add output mapping. This can be done by using the MIDI output mapping utility or a text editor like notepad.

When you press a button there is a MIDI input into Cross from your controller. In order for the corresponding LED to light up there most be a MIDI output from Cross to the controller.

When you add output mapping your are programming Cross to send a MIDI message that contains a parameter=which LED, a channel and the desired intensity in response to specific input from the controller.
