The only idea I have, is to format C: and setup a new OS, but that means 1 day of re-installing program after program, just to get one program run properly again...oh wait! Another option is, to send the mixer back to where i bought it, and buy a better one. Bye and thanks for nothing!
Are you discovering computer? It seems this is the first time you are requesting help for a piece of software, above all on the forum. This is real world here, sorry. Nothing's magic, nothing's obvious. By the way, if nothing worked from the previous suggestions, it probably means your device is defect/broken... Be to be sure, you should try to use it on another computer.

Well verything's fine again, and I guess the problem was related to a trial version of cubase, I installed.
I am not really sure, cause the problem appeared after uninstalling cubase an all other cubase related files (e.g. the Steinberg ASIO driver). I've put the mixer away for a while and after trying to ue it again it all was fine.
Was running driver-/regcleaners several times inbetween, so it is possible, that some registry files just weren't deleted when i ran the reg cleaner for the 1st/2nd time. Maybe there were some remains related to other entries that had to be deleted first.
I guess the safest way would be to run your product on a notebook, thats only used for mixing, and some other small tasks, that don't go to deep into the structure of the OS.
As mentioned above, everything is fine, and I will keep on using the product, for now!
Thanks 'n bye!

Seems to me you got some good help here. Every PC is different and troubleshooting takes time. Glad you got things sorted anyway.
