Jog wheel sensitivity

Postby Idan Korenblum on 19 Apr 2014, 11:43

Since my controller doesn't seem to have a button for the "seek" option, and searching the song with the jog wheel is somewhat slow (and when I mix in clubs I want to touch the computer as less as possible) - is there a way of making the jog wheel respond more? Maybe a parameter to play with? (of course something that can be changed back easily afterward to return to the normal mixing mode). I have a DDJ-SB.

Maybe it is the quantize feature? Because from the manual I didn't seem to understand what the quantize does exactly.

I didn't mean scrolling my collection, I mean moving the song forward and rewind, like the jog does. But it does it slowly (which is good when you search a specific point on a beat). I just wondered if it is possible to make to jog move the song faster.

 if the tut for the controller didnt give info as to such then not shure ,, misunderstood your posting ,, got to wait on a familiar user ,, would think you would want to use track locators to jump to revelent postion in the track ,, :?: dose the jog increase decrease as the motion applied does ,, :?:

A possible solution for you is to map shift+ jog wheel to the needle search command for the deck. There is no need to adjust jog sensitivity to make that work.
