Re: Where is Crash report located for Cross?

All my crashes have been while loading a song into the player with a mouse...I cant say that my quneo load buttons have caused one!
And it has occurred whether I am loading a video or any other kind of file....I have yet to use 3.0 for a gig...anxious to use...but still hanging on to 2.6! I have never experienced a crash in 2.6...
It would nt be so bad if the song continued, unlike some other versions..it stops with a high pitched sound...embarrassing...boos are not funny LOL...

Thx...

Same issue here, I've had Cross 3 crash twice this week while loading tracks with the mouse. Never had a crash with 2.X ANY previous version. 3.0 is NOT usable at this point.

Ok , I used 3.1 the other night for about an 1.5 hour...It crashed again while loading a song in the player....
I have not been able to use 3.0 or 3.1 due to this....I revert back to 2.6 without incident...
I have tried all the tricks..(at least I think)....can any one give me any more solutions....If I have two video cards onboard....do I need to deactivate one?

Thx

Hi,

Any more details on what you were doing when it crashed?
Were you loading a new song using mouse? using MIDI?
Was it Audio/Video?
Did you get a particular error message after crash?

Last week, Cross ran more than two days non-stop in autoplay mode with many different video and audio tracks... Then there must be something 'wrong' either with your machine or your files.

No idea about having two video cards onboard... I'll try to get some info about this. However, you can definitely try to disable one and see how it goes! You can also try to run Cross without video (i.e. disabled in preferences).

By the way, I can't remember if you already wrote it down somewhere, but what's your config again? (OS, RAM, video chip, etc.)

Cheers,
SylMV

Hello,
I want to enjoy my experience with both versions 2.6 and 3.1 installed on the same computer, several problems with files> 10MB, mainly mp4.

Removing the video plugin for 2.6, my files> 10 MB have fewer problems, but it is not yet the top, the videos do not load every time??
Difficult to make a diagnosis is uncertain.

My crashes have happened no matter what file and if I load with mouse, controller or keyboard....Cross.exe has stopped working is the error message I receive...my specs are at the bottom of my signature!

thx

Hi Anim-16.
Could you make a few of the problem files available to the team. File size should not be a problem.

What is your setting in General for Audio Cache? Max is supposed to be best.
Could you also tell your specs/OS?

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Hi ddjj. Must be really frustrating. Unfortunately lack of details is not helpful in figuring out what might be causing it. It just does not match with other user problems at all.
Your specs seem high end.
Some questions to try to narrow the cause, without trying to have you do to much:
Are you running other audio/vid programs at the same time.
What Anti Virus are you running (did you exclude Cross and track files)
Where are your track files located (internal/external)
Could you maybe add capture of General and Audio tabs of Preferences.

a somewhat wilder guess
Did you install current drivers AND of the right bit version (32 or 64-bit). (like controller, soundcard).
It could be worth trying to test using local hardware only to narrow down as well; USB-disconnect all connected DJ gear.

Evening!

[/
[/Are you running other audio/vid programs at the same time. NO
What Anti Virus are you running (did you exclude Cross and track files) Antivirus is shut off while performing!
Where are your track files located (internal/external) Files are on my internal drive. quote]quote]

All USB disconnected except mouse and keyboard.

I had a crash on 3.3.3 on Saturday using 64 bit....I noticed today when I load 3.3.3 32 bit my memory reads 750mb....but when I have 3.3.3.64 bits loaded it starts at 800mb and went up to 1.2GB....wow...Also my hard drive crashed about a month ago, so that is new, with about half the programs that I used to have...
what version should I be using with win 8.1 and audio 2 DJ sc!
Still using 2.6 with no crashes!

In 64bit more can be done. That's why more mem is occupied if available.
V3.x also has changes to audio engine. This can reveal issues with audio tracks that weren't exposed before.

If no further clue for a crash retry the last tracks used in the decks and the one selected in the track rack.

Ig you can repeat then make the track available for the devteam so they can test it.

It is frustrating to have crashes without clear indication of what happened. This is also hard for the devteam as there is no point to start.
