Re: ANOTHER random crash! DONE!

Postby djmagicmoments on 27 Mar 2014, 17:09

sylMV,

Would you please delete my account or ask one of your moderators to do it? I am unable to do it myself. You can ask the same moderator that chooses to call users names. (not a very good idea since other users will no doubt read this post and I have done a screen shot of it for when I do my review of the software for a few DJ magazines)

Best of luck with your software... just not for me.

I thought you were out of here. Anyway make sure that you include on the review screen shots of all the rude posts from you in response to people that were only trying to help you.

Just prior to my post, I was thinking that I was close enought to you (geographically) that I could offer one on one help over the phone. So I was going to post to tell you to look out for a PM with my personal information so we could hook up and get your issues resolved. When I went to the thread and saw your post about refunds and deleting your account I then concluded that you were beyond help and as you stated not dealing with it anymore. That thread was a failure to communicate properly. I am not putting blame on you or Mixvibes but I do know that everyone that went into the thread went in with a helping attitude and read how rude you were. Notice that moderators do not work for Mixvibes we are just DJs trying to help other DJs.

You are right. My posts seemed quite arrogant and very unappreciative of the help.

My apologies.

You know I am willing to help you out in any way I can. You must realize that it is going to take some time and try outs ( try this or try that) until we can get to the root cause of the problem and then find a viable solution. That solution might be software settings, computer settings or an actual bug. In finding a solution one must try what is easily changeable 1st to see if that fixes the problem and if not then dig deeper. With patience and perseverance i am sure we can help you resolve any issues.

Classy. Edits all the posts that contain him being, well... himself to "Software not for me". I hope he includes that in the DJ magazine reviews that he's doing... or claims to be doing. I don't get any wedding DJ magazines though, so I won't be reading his critique.

I edited my posts because I DID sound like a jerk.

Also, I asked for my account to be deleted so you won't see it anyway.

My review will be 100% honest and based on my personal experiences, nothing more, nothing less. It is not my intention to make Cross look bad in anyway. I will state facts and only facts.

My software is deleted, so you may remove my account at any time.

I have apologized and moved on. Do the same... delete my account and you will never hear from me again.

Just delete my account. Thanks!

I think your review will be unfair even if you are not trying to make Mixvibes Cross look bad.

Your experience is skewed by the response that you got in this forum, which most of it was about trying to help you resolve issues but also there was reaction to your rudeness. So your overall experience in my opinion is tainted and misguided.

As far as the facts goes, please don't forget to include the fact that you did not give a chance to anyone in this forum to help you resolve any issues. Also you damaged your credibility as an industry professional by demonstrating an arrogant attitude and unprofessional behavior/etiquette in this forum.

The response I received in the forum has nothing to do with reviewing a piece of software.

I will review it based on the features it has and the features it doesn't have. It will be based on what works and what doesn't work. That's it. No amount of help on the forums was going to fix known bugs and limitations that I feel that the software has.

Get over the ignorant posts... I apologized and there is nothing more to it. Why would I mention anything about the forums in a review?

I assure you no credibility was damaged. If you think that DJ's care what other DJ's say on forums, they don't. It's a forum! Most DJ's, including me, could care less what other DJ's think. After 26 years, I care about clients, not other DJ's.

DJFig, first you called me a name and then you said that I lost credibility because I was being ignorant. Did I ever resort to a personal attack against you and call you a name? You can't accuse someone of being ignorant and then hand them your own personal attack.

Just to be clear, it was YOUR moderators who called my suggestion "Dumb" and "for dummies". It was YOUR moderator who called me a name. I have never, nor would I ever resort to a personal attack. You did. Any credibility lost there on your part or will you defend the actions of your moderators?

Also, I have been testing and evaluating software on forums for years, since pcdj sl1200.. I have ALWAYS been critical and always been arrogant. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Get over it guys, I am one guy with a strong opinion. If you don't like my opinions or what I say, ignore me or block me. Not trying to be ignorant but forums are just forums... You should SEE the way some guys talk on beta forums.... No, you really should. And one thing I NEVER did was defend a flaw in a program like you guys do. Developers don't want cheerleaders, they want people that can stand up and say what is wrong and what needs fixed. Not someone who agrees with everything they say.

Anyway, you will be certainly surprised by my review. 99% is great, I assure you. You have a GREAT piece of software on your hands and I wish you guys the best of luck but you are club DJ's and you are making something for club DJ's. When I made suggestions that would improve the software for mobile DJ's (the song starting at the beginning of the first sound), it was met with "most DJ's use electronic music now and that is why it doesn't do that". How will that response (by the developer) solve the problem that ALL mobile DJ's will have if they want to use this software? It won't. Global search is another one... you are ALL against it. Why does every other software have it? I am not talking moving your mouse to another play list or whatever, I am talking about clicking on the search bar and everything in your playlist is on top and everything that matches the search is on the bottom. No problem but mobile DJ's use this, which is why it is in 90% of the other big name software.

Again, I have said it 100 times... best of luck. I am hoping this software becomes incredible. It's not there yet. You have one less guy to give suggestions and I am sure no one will miss me. Now PLEASE delete my account so I don't have to keep responding to your posts.

It's just software.

There is nothing more to add here, and I think this thread has run it's course.

Thread closed.
