3.0 Load issue

Postby DjBlast on 24 Mar 2014, 18:24

Hello Everyone,

Playing for an hour or so in the club, all videos, everything working fine. Load the next track, no audio. Wave shows up but no audio to the mixer. I load another track in, plays fine. Load the previous, no audio. From that point on tracks I play all the time have no audio.

Restart computer, restart Cross. Load problem file, works fine.

Happened a couple of times. Anyone else experience this phenomenon?

Thanks!

Do you have separate av loading enablef?
In that case the release position when releasing mouse is important.
If not: how did you load track.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Load is set to separate. I use the load button.

If you mean the load button of your MIDI device it likely is the MIDI mapping that loads the video to the video only. If this is the case it is the intended behaviour. You can modify the MIDI mapping to solve this or disable seperate loading.

Its a mp4 music video file I am loading. Loading straight to the deck to load video+audio, not separate. It seems like a minor bug not completely loading the file.

Does it happen with any mp4 file?
We can't reproduce it so far.
Would it be possible to make a short video showing the issue?

Not to sure on getting you a video, but I am working the next 3 nights. I will see what leads to the error and report. I use mp4 and vob files.

It is not the file, whenever the problem happens, its from a file I have played many times. Seems like a loading issue. I see the wave but no sound to the sound card.

I got the load error again after and hour or so. Seems that it is effecting .VOB files only. The file shows up in the deck, wave and all, with no output to mixer. I then load a .mp4 video file into the same deck and everything plays fine.

I then load the problem .VOB back into the deck. FREEZE. Error message, beeping noise, and the Cross is dead.

Restart, everything works fine, including all .VOB files.

I wish I could get you an error log in windows 8.1

Could you send us a couple of your VOB files anyway, so that we can run long tests and see if issues happen?
