outputting video to tv etc

I have the new version a (3.0) with vid plug in included and - without the essential manual which is sadly missing - I cannot figure out how to output video to my tv (I do not have a projector, I presume this does not make a difference), the only way seems to be to hit the tv icon on the menu bar which brings up vid full screen on the tv but the mixing window disappears altogether. I have watched the demo which shows a jock djing with full video going on so I assume it can be done. Can anyone advise please ???

not shure what your set up is ,, i have a installed vid card with multiple outputs ,so in my video set up i use the second screen for the main vid out put and can either put it to my hdmi tv or my vga monitor ,,
i think one alternative would be to have a laptop with a additional hdmi out to get the second monitor ,,
soo system set up info will help us in figuring out the options avaible too you

That sounds like it works for you, but its all a bit complicated - is that what the "manual" is likely to instruct me to do ??

asked for info to your set up ,, your post says you have connected to your tv but only shows what the laptop screen shows ,,
does you computer have a vid card control panel ,in order to change what you have coming out of the vid port ,,
as far as the manual ,,not to shure if its been updated ,,

As Daniel mentions it is hard to advice on little info.
It seems your PC(laptop/mac) has not been setup to use 2 screens, or it has been setup for duplicating one screen to the other.
It should have 2 seperate screens setup("extended"). See tech details in Daniels reply.
After you changed this restart Cross and likely your problem is solved.
