[solved]Cross DJ 3.0/VCI380 Sync Button Issue

Just switched from Serato DJ to Cross DJ 3.0 and love it. I'm using a Vestax VCI 380 controller and pressing the sync button on the controller syncs the BPMs, but not the beats. When I click the sync button on the PC interface, it syncs the BPMs AND the beats. Why will the controller button not sync both BPMs and beats? Thanks

info to what MIDI mapping is selected ,,seems to be a issue with the mapping ,, so info along thoes line will help figure it out ,,cant help you myself ,beyond my info level,,but info for thoes who know will help ,,

first thing to check is the mapping selected ,, have established mapping for the vci ,,earlier version yes but still should work ,, see screen shot ,,
in preferences/MIDI .. there should be a tab for the controller ,,meaning it reconized ,select that tab and hightlight the mapping shown ,, should have a green online icon , that will flash when using controller commands,,that just the basics ,, not shure why the controller is not syncing the beat as well as the bpm,,, if all these thing as correct and the controller still performs the same then you will have to take it to the next step ,,which i have no info/knowledge to assist you ,,defere to more compenent indiviauls ,,

Thanks again Daniel, but no luck. I checked everything that you suggested and it all appears to be as you described. Hopefully someone can help me with this soon.

Do you know if the master volume control on my controller should control the master volume on the PC interface? My doesn't.

want to say yes ,,,this is getting beyond my range of info ,,on whats going on ,, dont realy want to suggest to download the version of Cross from the archives to see if the mapping works with that version ,, inherent problems with going back in versions due to changes in the way the media base is handled by newer versions ,, hate to say wait on more info ,, but dont wanting you to go where you dont want to go, ie destroyed collection

Some MIDI commands in this 3.00 version might have been modified since we did the mapping.
You should try this:
Go in your MIDI Options, highlight your vci380 settings and find the X2 button click on it
Now you have a working copy of the original mapping.
Click on it and see on the right column the function not working as it should and try to fix it by MIDI Learn.

Have a look there and come back with precise questions.

I started looking on your problem and I think I found a little bug with the mapping. I can't fully tested because I don't own the controller but you may want to try the file that I uploaded as I modified it with a fix. If it works I will make sure it gets reported for the next release.
