I have my tracks organized in folders. Is there any way to import the main folder and then have the folder structure follow? If not, it appears that I have to create playlists from each folder, which certainly seems redundant.
My folders are as such:
Promo Only - Mainstream Radio - 2014 - January
I see no way to import folders but I am very new at this.

To confirm, it will maintain the file structure, correct?

Been trying it for an hour... nothing I do will maintain the folder structure.
Rather disappointing for sure.

You can make the field 'location' visible and sort on that. You can make the field 'group' visible; after sorting select per folder and insert a group name, which you can use for smartlist selection........ But what is really smart is to forget about folders. Use the genres field, year, artist name etc. etc. There is no way that the team will ever go to the concept of physical folders. The quick search and select options are way easier. With smartlist e.g. you can add tracks which are available instantly in your smartlist(s). You will never ever have to worry again on the way to store a track so that you can find it back. In the old days DJ's new every album in there transportable containers; now they only have to be able to type...

Thank you for the reply Ronald.
However, searching for tracks was not my concern. File structure is my concern. Having to make playlists will take days. I was hoping to avoid that.
Albums? What are albums? haha!

I am sorry... I will say it again... It's NOT about searching. It IS about creating playlists based on the folder structure that I already have.
My tracks are in folders, within sub-folders. I want to keep it exactly the same. For example, if you are familiar with Virtual DJ, you can drag a parent folder into the software and it will import all of the sub folders, keeping everything in the same structure.
Parent Folder - Promo Only Sub Folder - Mainstream Radio Sub Sub Folder - 2013 Sub Sub Sub Folder - January
Soo many DJ's have their tracks in folders, within folders. How this software does not support a way to simply import your tracks this way, I don't understand.
Not to worry, I have begun the slow, arduous task of creating playlists based on my folders...
Perhaps a screenshot of a proper folder structure would be appropriate.
Sorry to be a pain but I do this for a living and you are 3rd software in 26 years of DJ'ing. I have spent a MASSIVE amount of time helping to improve PCDJ and VDJ... I got frustrated with VDJ's progress so I decided to try Cross. Very good but I see a ton of places to improve. I will be posting a ton!

Screen shot of the file structure in VDJ. (not my picture, just found it on the internet)
Folders within folders... Just drag your folders into VDJ and that is where they stay.
If it's not supported, it should be. MANY have files arranged that way and a simple drag and drop would help immensely when organizing tracks.
Again, NOT about searching.
